VocalGenerator creates voice-like sounds from synthesis. Its vowel and formant surface moves between AH, EH, EE, OH and OO, while breath, tract shape and choir controls change the character of the voice.

What it does

  • Explore 32 synthesis presets spanning leads, monk-like chants, choirs and psychedelic voices.
  • Control vowel morph, formant shift, tract size, focus, breath, nasality and presence.
  • Shape polyphonic or mono-legato performance with glide, vibrato, drift and stereo choir voices.
  • Animate an eight-step vowel sequence, LFOs and modulation routes, then add ensemble, drive, delay and room.

Using the plugin

Play MIDI notes and move the vowel/formant XY control. Start with a solo voice for a lead or add choir voices and width for a pad. For processing a recording, explore the separate Vocoder and AudioTransformer projects.

Project status

Windows VST3 development project. New patches focus on vocal synthesis; older input-processing sessions retain compatibility.
