CowbellGenerator explores bright metallic percussion, from authored acoustic-style and hybrid sounds to an 808-inspired circuit reconstruction with its own control panel.

What it does

  • Choose Modern, Acoustic, Hybrid and electronic cowbell voices.
  • Explore the 808 model's rectangular sources, coupled envelopes and passive filter network.
  • Inspect stereo waveforms and set output, pan and velocity response.
  • Enable key follow for tuned metallic lines.

Using the plugin

Choose a voice, audition it and place a repeating phrase around the groove. Adjust the model and velocity to move between subtle rhythmic marking and a more prominent melodic part.

Project status

Private Windows VST3 development build. The circuit reconstruction uses documented approximations and has not been calibrated against an individual 808. Recording banks remain private.
