BreakbeatLab
A two-deck breakbeat instrument for slicing loops, building scenes and performing rhythmic variations.
Private development preview · Windows VST3
BreakbeatLab turns two stereo loops into a playable breakbeat workspace. Slice each deck into chops, arrange two-lane scenes and use temporary performance gestures to bend the groove before returning to its underlying pattern.

What it does
- Load two loops, use grid or transient slicing and edit up to 32 chops per deck.
- Build eight scenes with per-step pitch, reverse, ratchets, probability and locks.
- Perform Fill, Roll, Reverse, Freeze and Tape stop gestures from MIDI or the editor.
- Save embedded loop material with the patch and export WAV or MIDI; sequenced chops follow host tempo independently of pitch.
Using the plugin
Load a loop into each deck, set its musical length and choose a slicing mode. Start the host transport, hold the groove trigger or latch Play, then blend decks and introduce variation while protecting important downbeats.
